Spring & Summer Internships in Space Commerce Policy
Office of Space Commercialization
NOAA Satellite & Information Service
U.S. Department of Commerce
Sorry, the deadline for applications has passed.
The Office of Space Commercialization (OSC) in the U.S. Department of Commerce is currently recruiting students to work as interns on a full-time or part-time basis in the area of commercial space policy. Internships are unpaid; however, academic credit may be arranged.
OSC is the principal unit within the Department of Commerce for space commerce policy activities. OSC plays a significant role in the implementation of U.S. and international commercial space policy. Selected interns can expect to receive substantial responsibility and experience very quickly.
Intern duties range from administrative support to substantive policy analysis. Excellent analytical, verbal communication and writing skills are essential. An interest in space and/or technology issues is a plus.
Interested applicants should submit a cover letter, resume, and brief writing sample (1-5 pages) to space.commerce@noaa.gov by March 20, 2009. Applicants must be full time students and U.S. citizens.
For further information, please call (202) 482-6125 or visit the OSC website at space.commerce.gov.
