Air Force Awards IDIQ Contract for Hosted Payload Solutions

On July 10, the U.S. Air Force Space Command’s Space and Missile Systems Center awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract under the Hosted Payload Solutions (HoPS) program.

The multiple-award HoPS IDIQ contract provides a rapid and flexible means for the government to acquire commercial hosting capabilities for government payloads. The HoPS contract provides flexibility for up to approximately six hosted payloads and a total value of up to $494,900,000.

The companies involved in the contract are: Astrium Services Government, Inc.; Harris Corp. Government Communications Systems Business Unit; Space Systems/Loral, LLC; Millennium Engineering & Integration Company; Surrey Satellite Technology; Orbital Sciences Corp.; The Boeing Co.; Exoterra Resources; Lockheed Martin Corp.; Merging Excellence and Innovation Tech, Inc.; ViviSat, LLC; Intelsat General Corp.; SES Government Solutions; and Eutelsat America Corp.
