Subject: Codeless & Semi-Codeless Access to the GPS Date: Tue, 10 Jun 2008 10:20:35 -0500 From: James Davis To: Jason.Kim@noaa.gov Ref: Docket No. 080506632–8633–01 Date: 10 June 2008 Submitted by: James L. Davis FreeFlight Systems is a developer and manufacturer of GPS sensors and navigation systems for aviation. Its products are based on technology and Intellectual Property shared with Trimble Navigation, a pioneer in the GPS field. With regard to the proposal to phase out codeless & semi-codeless access to the GPS, FreeFlight supports the government’s intention to do so. Neither current FreeFlight equipment, nor the legacy products inherited from Trimble, take advantage of codeless or semi-codeless access using Y-code, so our extensive, worldwide installed customer base will be unaffected. Our current development plans for GPS and GPS/SBAS products are also unaffected. James L.
