Interview on Semi-Codeless GPS Transition Plan
In this published interview, Jason Kim of the Office of Space Commercialization describes the government's plan to transition the users of semi-codeless GPS technology to new equipment utilizing the next-generation civil GPS signals. The interview includes projections on the economic value of semi-codeless GPS technology to U.S. and world markets in 2012.

Economic Benefits of the Second Civilian GPS Signal
This published article summarizes findings from an economic study on the productivity benefits of the second civilian GPS signal, known as L2C. The article is authored by private economist Irv Leveson, who conducted the study under a contract with the Office of Space Commercialization.

Assessment of Economic Impacts of GPS Modernization
The Office of Space Commercialization worked closely with NOAA and the Institute for Defense Analyses to develop this assessment of the importance of GPS and GPS modernization to the U.S. economy. Information was collected from a various industries through written surveys, telephone interviews, and a roundtable meeting in Washington involving numerous business executives and the Deputy Secretary of Commerce.
