The Office of Space Commercialization has partnered with the U.S. Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) to organize this international symposium on satellite-based commercial remote sensing.
The 2010 International Commercial Remote Sensing Symposium will bring attendees over two days of discussions on the issues affecting the community; industry providers and capabilities; and export control, licensing and policy concerns along with daily academic debates.
Discussions will include the following topics:
- Assessment of the current international marketplace (federal and non-federal market)
- Clear communication of key policies that need to be reexamined to aid future opportunities
- Recommendations for how to improve the government-industry relationship
- Identification of future trends and challenges
- Acknowledgement of the important contribution that commercial remote sensing provides to society and the economy
- Engagement of civil and Defense Department representatives in examining CRS policy and CRS industry needs
