International Space Cooperation

The Department of Commerce engages in a variety of bilateral and multilateral space cooperation activities to promote global space commerce, align space regulations, ensure fair market access for U.S. companies, and ensure space safety for commercial operators.

GPS-Galileo Agreement

On June 26, 2004, the United States, the European Commission, and the Member States of the European Union signed the landmark Agreement on the Promotion, Provision and Use of Galileo and GPS Satellite-Based Navigation Systems and Related Applications. Learn more
