Export Control Guidebook for Commercial Space Companies
In October 2008, the Office of Space Commercialization and the FAA Office of Commercial Space Transportation published a short guidebook for commercial space firms titled, “Introduction to U.S. Export Controls for the Commercial Space Industry.” It provides an introductory overview of the U.S. export control process as it applies to the commercial space industry.

The guidebook was completely rewritten in 2017 to reflect the satellite export control reform implemented in 2014 and afterwards. Please see Satellite Export Control Regulations for the new version.
